When we decided to market our home in the spring of 2014 we had our choice of realtors. We had seen the amount of front page, full page and multiple website listings that the Beatty’s used each week in Hunterdon and Somerset counties so decided to have them be one of the realtors to interview to hear what their marketing plan would be for our home.

The three realtors that we interviewed all brought examples of their past postings and explained what print and web postings they would use. Both Pamela and Bob came to our home promptly. They took an immediate personal interest in all of the changes and improvements we had made in the house and the external resort like exterior we had created and invested in. They recognized the family nature of our home and that it was not just another house to sell. Since they knew the Clinton market in detail they could see how the remodeling w had done dramatically changed the feel, flow and use of the home vs. the same model which had been built throughout the area.

When reviewing their postings, it was easy to see that the postings from the Beatty’s were all from the preceding weeks and not just some time in the past. They included the featured homes in each ad and not just their own profiles. They clearly had the entire front page and full page adds. They even demonstrated that they had the main listing for most or all of the winter months when many realtors would not feel that it was worth spending the money when there are few sales. They knew they could command the front pages in the height of the season if they supported the papers during the lows as well. We felt that if we chose them they would follow through on the marketing. We did not have the same feeling with the other realtors and chose the Beatty’s.

The Beatty’s visited us on a Tuesday night. We told them on Wednesday morning that we had chosen their agency to list the home but wanted to have it on the market that same Saturday. Bob came to the house within a few hours and took multiple pictures in order to start the MLS and to get into the papers by Thursday. Professional photos would come in a few days in order to prepare the beautiful color brochures they produced for the open house the following Sunday. Pamela and Bob personally worked with us on the description of the home for the listing and ads as well as the “featured home” which ran in the papers the week leading up to the open house.

The MLS appeared on Friday, two days after we selected the Beatty’s, and we had our first prospective buyers come see the house the same day and more followed on the weekend.

When the papers came out our home was as promised the featured home on the top of full page ads in many papers sponsored by the Beatty’s. The Beatty agency clearly dominated each of the papers. In the first week we did not find ANY ads by the other two realtors we had interviewed. This continued for the following weeks where our house continued to be heavily marketed while seeing little or no activity from others. Our home was also extensively marketed on the web as “featured home” or “Home of the week”. The Beatty’s also created a website dedicated to marketing our home.

Our home was chosen for purchase by buyers within the first week of marketing but the Beatty’s kept heavily marketing until we had a contract in place. They clearly did what they said, when they said, and how they said. Looking at the absence of marketing by the other realtors in the same time period we felt fortunate to have made the right choice when all three realtors made similar promises.

Pamela and Bob Beatty have been personally and deeply involved in the selling of our home from the day we selected them through to the upcoming closing. For example, Bob ran our entire open house. He personally escorted 26 prospective buyers throughout our home which he knew so well. He did not delegate the open house to an associate. He was there the entire time. Pamela helped us negotiate on Holy Saturday evening and we signed our contract with Pamela and Bob on Easter Sunday in their office. Bob personally walked the bank appraiser through our home to ensure that he saw the value in the home and was using appropriate comps.

Pamela and Bob gave us their cell numbers on day one and told us to call anytime with any issue we needed help with. We have never called the Weichert office and have spoken with Pamela and/or Bob directly on every occasion. When issues have arisen in the selling process or if we just wanted guidance they gladly took our calls. They have taken our calls day and night, weekends whatever it took. They have always been just a phone call away. The knowledge of and relationships with local contractors has been an added bonus throughout the buyer inspection process and when a minor issue came up on our Saturday moving day. They never mentioned their deep connection to the contractors when we met with them but it has made a huge difference in the process. We needed several different types of contractors to remediate minor inspection items. For each one they gave us contractors they relied on to get the job done. As contractors are very busy, it is difficult to get a response for small jobs like ours. The Beatty’s were able to call the owners of the contractor companies and ensure our jobs got done. The strong relationships they have with the contractors backed by the evident work their sales bring to the contractors made the process nearly seamless. We would have had difficulty getting the work done in the timeframe needed if we could not call the Beatty’s to identify contractors and they could call the contractors to make it happen.

In summary, Pamela and Bob Beatty have been personally involved with the marketing and selling our our home from day one. They have done everything they said they would, when they said and how they said they would. We have been able to speak with them whenever we needed to and they have always been there for us throughout the process. If they did not have what we needed on hand they made sure to respond or gather what we needed as quickly as possible. We are very happy with their efforts on our behalf and have been very comfortable working with them.
